RDI completed a pre-occupancy furniture installation for a facility requiring long-term storage, phased delivery, and careful coordination with construction and inspection timelines.

RDI’s Project Approach
Due to construction delays, all furniture for this project was securely stored in RDI’s warehouse for more than a year prior to installation. Once the site was cleared for install, our team coordinated delivery and installation in phases over a two-week period.
Because the project was still pre-occupancy, certain items — including chairs — could not be delivered until after final inspection. The installation was sequenced accordingly, ensuring compliance with building requirements while keeping the project on schedule.
Results
This project, featuring systems and seating solutions from Kimball International and SitOnIt Seating, was completed smoothly and on time once construction allowed, with all furniture delivered and installed at the appropriate phase. This approach ensured a clean inspection process and a ready-to-use environment for occupancy.
