Location: Quincy, Illinois
Project Duration: Approximately 6 months
Scope: Multi-phase hotel furniture installation|
Guest Rooms: 150+
Phases: 4
Dealer: Modern Business Interiors
The Challenge
A hotel project of this size requires more than simply delivering and installing furniture. With multiple contractors working onsite and the project divided into four phases, RDI needed to coordinate deliveries and installation around the overall construction schedule.
The project also involved a large volume of furniture across more than 150 guest rooms, followed by a separate final phase focused on the hotel’s shared spaces.
The Approach
RDI managed the installation through four distinct phases over approximately six months.
The first phases focused on the hotel’s guest rooms, including:
Headboards
Credenzas
Desks
Ancillary furniture
Other guest room furnishings
Once the guest rooms were completed, the RDI team returned for the final phase to install furniture throughout the lobby and conference rooms.
RDI’s experience with large-scale hotel projects helped the team anticipate the coordination required, adapt to changing site conditions, and keep each phase moving alongside other contractors.
The Result
RDI completed the four-phase installation across more than 150 guest rooms, as well as the hotel’s lobby and conference spaces.
The six-month project demonstrated the importance of phased planning, coordination, and experienced installation crews on large hospitality projects. By managing the furniture installation around the broader construction process, RDI helped keep the project organized from the first guest room through the final shared spaces.
