Training Room Installation

Commercial Training Center Furniture Installation

Project Overview

RDI completed the furniture installation for a new training center serving a local utility company. The project included four large training rooms, 10 private offices, and multiple workstation areas designed to support employee training and day-to-day operations.

Because the facility remained an active construction site throughout the installation, careful coordination with the general contractor was essential to keep the project moving on schedule.

The Challenge

Rather than waiting until construction was complete, the general contractor requested that specific areas of the building be installed first so other trades could continue their work.

This required a phased installation approach, with RDI coordinating closely with the project team to adapt to changing schedules while maintaining installation quality and minimizing disruptions to ongoing construction.

RDI’s Solution

Our installation team worked alongside multiple trades throughout the project, adjusting priorities as different areas of the building became available.

By remaining flexible and communicating closely with the general contractor, RDI completed each installation phase as requested while keeping the overall project on schedule. The result was a smooth installation process that supported construction progress instead of slowing it down.

The completed facility included fully furnished training rooms, private offices, and workstation areas featuring Herman Miller furniture, creating a professional environment ready for employees on day one.

Why It Matters

Commercial construction projects rarely follow a perfectly linear schedule. Successful installations require flexibility, communication, and crews that can adapt as project conditions change.

RDI regularly partners with general contractors and dealerships to complete phased furniture installations that support construction timelines rather than delay them. Whether a project requires partial occupancy, multiple installation phases, or close coordination with other trades, our experienced crews keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish.
