Project Overview
When an aerospace company prepared its new headquarters for occupancy, the installation required more than simply delivering and assembling furniture. The project called for a flexible logistics plan that would reduce storage costs while accommodating the unique operations of an active airport facility.
Working with dealer partner POE, RDI provided receiving, temporary storage, and commercial furniture installation for the new headquarters, delivering a solution tailored to the client’s schedule and workspace.
The Challenge
Unlike a traditional office project where furniture is delivered to a warehouse before installation, the client requested that all furniture be received and stored inside an airport hangar until the building was ready.
Storing product in this environment required careful handling, organization, and protection to ensure every piece remained in excellent condition while allowing easy access when installation began.
Once the space was ready, the furniture also needed to be installed across multiple hangars and operational areas of the facility, requiring careful coordination and phased execution.
RDI’s Solution
Our team unloaded each shipment directly into the client’s hangar, carefully inspecting, organizing, and protecting the furniture while it remained in temporary storage.
When construction reached the appropriate phase, RDI returned to complete the installation throughout the headquarters, furnishing offices, collaborative workspaces, and multiple areas across the aerospace campus.
With more than 50 years of commercial installation experience, our crews are equipped to adapt to each project’s unique logistical requirements, whether furniture is stored in our warehouse, delivered directly to a jobsite, or staged in a specialized facility like this one.

Why It Matters
Every project has unique logistical challenges, and no two facilities operate the same way. RDI works with clients to develop installation plans that fit their schedule, site conditions, and operational needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all process.
Whether furniture is staged in a warehouse, construction site, distribution center, or even an airport hangar, our experienced crews ensure every product is protected, organized, and installed with the same level of care and precision.
