Project Overview
RDI completed a furniture reconfiguration and installation project for a local energy company facility. The project focused on disposing of outdated workstations, relocating existing furniture, and integrating new furniture from Kimball International and Global — all while minimizing disruption to daily operations.
Scope of Work
- Disposal of existing workstations (multiple trips)
- Relocation of workstations within the facility
- Receiving and warehouse storage of new furniture
- Installation of new office and lounge areas
Project Approach
This project required a strategic approach to maximize the use of existing assets while incorporating new furniture into the space.
RDI coordinated multiple phases of work, including removal, relocation, and installation, to ensure the space remained functional throughout the process.
All new furniture from Kimball International and Global was received and staged in RDI’s warehouse prior to installation. This allowed for precise scheduling and sequencing once the existing workstations were removed and relocated.
By aligning logistics with on-site execution, the team was able to:
- Minimize downtime for the end user
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
- Ensure a smooth transition between project phases
The RDI Difference
Projects like this highlight RDI’s ability to go beyond standard installation services.
In addition to installing new furniture, our team supports:
- Furniture relocation and reconfiguration
- Asset reuse and space optimization
- Coordinated disposal and removal services
- Warehouse receiving and staged delivery
By managing both logistics and installation, we help clients get more value out of their existing furniture while seamlessly integrating new elements.
